Park Scholarships Welcomes Dana Dubis

Dana Dubis has joined the Park Scholarships team as a development associate. Dubis, who will serve as a key point of contact for the scholarships' fundraising and development initiatives, began her philanthropy-focused career at United Way of the Greater Triangle.

Alumnus’ Ties to NC State Inspired Endowments

NC State alumnus Glenn Futrell, who earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering in 1963 and 1965, respectively, believes in giving back. Futrell and his wife, Phyllis, established a scholarship and two endowed professorships in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, and they have supported the new Fitts-Woolard Hall.

Scholarship Benefiting Wolfpack Families Continues to Grow

The Employee Dependent’s Tuition Scholarship can provide up to $2,000 annually to all dependents of current full-time employees who have been successfully admitted to the university as first-degree undergraduate students and meet regular academic requirements. The scholarship is helping more employees’ children to earn their degrees from NC State while serving as a “thank you” for employees’ hard work.

Belltower Lit Red for College of Education Student Ashley Lawson

Earlier this year, College of Education senior and Park Scholar Ashley Lawson was named NC State’s 10th Truman Scholar. On the night of Friday, Sept. 28, the university lit the Belltower red — a first to celebrate an individual affiliated with the College of Education for an international honor — to recognize Lawson and this prestigious accomplishment.
