February 2019 Park Enrichment Grants Awarded

The Park Enrichment Grant Committee has awarded grants to several Park Scholars engaged in professional and personal enrichment experiences in the United States and abroad. Initiated in 1998 and funded by the Park Foundation and gifts made to the Park Scholarships program, the grants are designed to foster the development of scholarship, service, leadership and character, and to connect Park Scholars with faculty members.

The Park Scholarships Selection Committee has chosen finalists for the Class of 2023, and candidates will visit NC State's campus in late February. This year's finalists represent 20 U.S. states and 33 North Carolina counties.

Nearly 500 talented high school seniors have been selected as semifinalists for NC State's prestigious Park Scholarships program Class of 2023. Approximately 112 finalists will be selected over the next month, and the Class of 2023 will be announced in May.

The NC State University Foundation presented its highest honor to the Park Foundation earlier this month. Adelaide Gomer, daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy Park, accepted the Menscer Cup in role as president of the Park Foundation, which created the Park Scholarships program in 1996.
