Karli Moore ’16 Cultivates a Career Strengthening Native American Agriculture

Park Scholar alumna and 2016 valedictorian Karli Moore made the most of her time at NC State by double majoring in the College of Sciences and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Now, she's taking the skills she learned in college and using them to benefit the state of North Carolina — specifically, the Native Americans who help make it an agricultural powerhouse.

Elijah Bouma-Sims ’21 Helps Secure $100,000 for Research Funding at NC State

Park Scholar Elijah Bouma-Sims ’21 published his first co-authored paper earlier this year, the culmination of an 11-month study on robocalling. First, his paper won the Distinguished Paper Award at the 29th USENIX Security Symposium. Then, it won the first-place Internet Defense Prize, a $100,000 grant that will support future research at NC State.

Kim Bloomfield ’02 and Ricky Bloomfield ’02 Create the Eighth Co-Named Park Scholarship

Park alumni Kim Bloomfield and Ricky Bloomfield gifted $350,000 to create the endowment, which will be paired with other Park Foundation funds to support a Park Scholarship in perpetuity. This is the third co-named Park Scholarship created by Park alumni and the second given on an NC State Day of Giving.

After months of collaboration with an anonymous donor, Park Scholarships is pleased to announce the establishment of the One Park One Pack: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund. Created by a Wolfpack family with Park Scholarships ties, this endowment will provide enduring support for diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within the Park Scholarships program.
