Troutman Named Director of Development at College of Sciences

Scott Troutman, a College of Sciences alumnus, is returning to his alma mater to focus on major gifts fundraising. The Alumni Association’s 2003 Young Alumnus of the Year, he previously served in fundraising and alumni relations positions for Poole College of Management and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

New to the CVM Family: Meet Niki Theobald

A love of animals has guided Colorado native Niki Theobald through a career including roles at wolf rescue, at zoos and at the Duke Lemur Center. Now Theobald has joined the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine as the director of development for the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Foundation, where she'll work with major donors to secure support for ongoing research, educational opportunities and cutting-edge patient care.

Hathaway Joins Poole College Development, External Relations Team

Anne Clark Hathaway has joined the NC State Poole College Office of Development and External Relations team as associate director of development. She comes to NC State from the North Carolina School for Science and Mathematics, and as a member of Poole's development team, she is focusing on annual giving, signature events and alumni relations.

Ben Hughes, a former executive director of the NC State Engineering Foundation and current senior development adviser, and Lora Bremer, executive director of major gifts and Campaign planning for the foundation, will serve as co-interim directors as the college searches for Brian Campbell’s successor.

Park Scholarships Welcomes Dana Dubis

Dana Dubis has joined the Park Scholarships team as a development associate. Dubis, who will serve as a key point of contact for the scholarships' fundraising and development initiatives, began her philanthropy-focused career at United Way of the Greater Triangle.

Scholarship Benefiting Wolfpack Families Continues to Grow

The Employee Dependent’s Tuition Scholarship can provide up to $2,000 annually to all dependents of current full-time employees who have been successfully admitted to the university as first-degree undergraduate students and meet regular academic requirements. The scholarship is helping more employees’ children to earn their degrees from NC State while serving as a “thank you” for employees’ hard work.

Friedrick Named College of Education’s Executive Director of Development

Matt Friedrick, currently serving as a director of development in NC State’s Central Major Gifts, where he connects major gift donors to philanthropic priorities across the university, will join the College of Education on Sept. 10. Friedrick earned his Master of Education from the college as well as an MBA from NC State's Poole College of Management.
