Tommy Vitolo Inducted Into the CSC Alumni Hall of Fame

Dr. Thomas Vitolo graduated from NC State in 1998, 1999 and 2000 with bachelor’s degrees in economics, computer science and applied mathematics as part of the first cohort of Park Scholars. He was also the first Park Scholar to graduate from NC State when he earned his degree in 1998 and has made many contributions to the program since then.

Chatterbox the Rescue Cat is Saved Again

Elisabetta Ferrero was eager to do as much as possible for Chatterbox, the cat she rescued from a construction site. That’s when Ferrero was told about the availability of assistance from the Petco Love grant at the NC State Veterinary Hospital, which covers up to 75% of the treatment costs for qualified clients and their companion animals.

NC State Leads Raleigh Effort to Meet Students’ Basic Needs

NC State has focused on alleviating students’ food and housing insecurity in recent years through programs such as Feed the Pack and Pack Essentials. Now, the university is partnering with the city of Raleigh and other local schools to find ways to remove barriers to basic needs that often prevent college students from completing degrees or other credentials they need to gain access to rewarding careers.

Lonnie Poole Golf Course Honored for Youth Access

NC State’s course hosted more than 1,900 rounds for Youth on Course members during the 2020 calendar year, the most of any course in the Carolinas. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout on Centennial Campus was recently recognized by the HV3 Foundation for this extraordinary achievement.
