Gary and Jackie Davis were so grateful for the successful orthopedic surgery on their border collie Lucy that they made a gift to the Companion Pet Assistance Fund to help other pet owners have financial access to services from the NC State Veterinary Hospital.

Remington Scott ’16, ’19: Two-Time Textiles Graduate

Scott has worked in a variety of scientific roles since graduating from the Wilson College of Textiles with a bachelor’s in polymer and color chemistry and then a master’s in textile engineering. Today, he serves as a research and development engineer and scientist at Honeywell — and remains dedicated to his alma mater by serving on the college’s Dean’s Young Alumni Leadership Council.

Bill Hunt, a William Neal Reynolds Distinguished Professor in NC State’s Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and an Extension specialist, is a leading expert in stormwater management and green infrastructure. The field focuses on creating benefits from stormwater management beyond improving water quality and reducing flooding, which can include increasing biodiversity and creating recreational and educational spaces.
