Two Faculty Win Holladay Medal

The Alexander Quarles Holladay Medal for Excellence was named in honor of NC State’s first professor of history and its first president. This year’s recipients are Drexel Professor Jerzy Bernholc, from the Department of Physics, and Mary Haskett, a professor in the Department of Psychology who is also known as a fierce advocate for under-resourced students.

Trea and Kristen Turner Pledge $1 Million to Baseball, Gymnastics

Former Wolfpack student-athletes Trea Turner and Kristen (Harabedian) Turner have made a $1 million pledge to NC State Athletics. The Turners’ generous gift will benefit both the baseball and gymnastics programs and marks the largest gift from a former NC State student-athlete who is currently playing professionally.

Parsons is an Intel 2022 Outstanding Researcher Award Recipient

Celanese Acetate Professor Gregory Parsons has been named an Intel 2022 Outstanding Researcher Award recipient in recognition of his exceptional contributions made through Intel university-sponsored research. Parsons’ prior awards include the RJ Reynolds Award for Research Teaching and Extension, the Alcoa Foundation Distinguished Engineering Research Award, the Alumni Distinguished Graduate Professorship Award and more.
