Students Honored at Chancellor’s Study Abroad Scholarship Reception

Thirty-nine students who received the Chancellor's Study Abroad Scholarship this year participated in semester-long and summer programs in 15 different countries. They recently spoke of the transformative effect their study abroad experiences had on their collegiate and personal lives at the annual celebratory reception for the scholarship, funded by gifts to the University’s Greatest Needs Fund.

Reaching for His Dreams

Will Reuther soon will graduate from the College of Design with his master’s in industrial design (ID) with plans to enter a one-year intensive post-baccalaureate pre-med program, followed by medical school. As a recipient of the L. Franklin Bost Industrial Design Fellowship and a teaching assistantship, Reuther feels NC State has prepared him for his next steps.

Proceeds from the May 5 event will benefit daily operations of the JC Raulston Arboretum. Student Body President Jess Errico Pursues Engineering and Advocacy

For Jess Errico, pursuing an engineering degree didn’t mean giving up her advocacy goals. The Shelby native and Caldwell Fellow recently wrapped up her term as student body president. Her advocacy for student interests included helping develop the Pack Meal Share program, through which students can donate unused guest meal card swipes to support other students facing short-term food insecurity.

NC State Athletic Hall of Fame Officially Welcomes Class of 2018

Private support helped bring them to NC State's campus, and Wolfpack fans and friends gathered April 13 to welcome the 2018 class to the university's Athletic Hall of Fame. Two Olympic gold medalists, ACC Athletes of the Year from three sports, a legendary coach and the most iconic team in the history of the NCAA men's basketball tournament highlighted the class.

Sir Walter Cabinet Makes Gift to NC State

A new gift from Sir Walter Cabinet – a longtime, influential statewide organization with close ties to the General Assembly – to NC State’s Division of Academic and Student Affairs will benefit the Student Emergency Fund and support the construction of a welcome table for the lobby at the Crafts Center.
