Four Alumni Named to BOT

The UNC Board of Governors named Ed Stack, a former student body president, to the NC State Board of Trustees and reappointed three other alumni -- Chip Andrews, Stan Kelly and Dewayne Washington -- to the 13-member advisory board for four-year terms.

Day of Giving a Huge Success for Academic and Student Affairs

More than 1,160 donors contributed over $250,000 to the Division of Academic and Student Affairs on Day of Giving, including NC State Foundation Board member Ghazale Johnston and her husband, Andy. The family, committed to ensuring students have the support needed to reach their full potential, issued a successful $50,000 challenge for the Student Emergency Fund.

On April 5, artist duo Caitlin & Misha, as part of their Immersive Scholar residency at the NC State University Libraries, will lead a discussion about humanity’s relationship with water and how harnessing this elemental force requires a balancing act. Caitlin & Misha's residency and the Immersive Scholar program are sponsored by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Viki Bardossy and Tom Pillsbury are two of the most recent NC State Veterinary Hospital clients to benefit from Petco Foundation's generous grant to assist pet owners with the expense of cancer treatments. Petco's support has helped the couple provide palliative radiation treatments for their cat, Brielle.

Get ready to search for treasures at the Friends of the Libraries' annual Frank B. Armstrong Memorial Book Sale, April 8-12 on the Brickyard. Last year, the sale raised almost $17,000 for the NC State University Libraries endowment, thanks to hundreds of hours of work by volunteers, students, staff and others.

2019-20 Internationalization Seed Grants Announced

Supported in part by private giving, the Office of Global Engagement recently awarded six NC State faculty with 2019-20 Internationalization Seed Grants. These funds - up to $5,000 per grant - promote international partnerships and foster global scholarship and engagement.
