A new embedded counselor in NC State’s Graduate School and Wilson College of Textiles will help address the mental health needs of their respective students. Bredell Moody’s position is made possible through a variety of funding sources, including the Wilson family’s transformational college-naming gift and funding provided by the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost’s Office and the Graduate School.

Two Outstanding Graduates Recognized With 2023 Distinguished Young Alumni Awards

The Wilson College of Textiles recently presented Devon Person ’10 and Monica Warsaw ’12 with its 2023 Distinguished Young Alumni Awards. Established in 2021 by the Dean’s Young Alumni Leadership Council (DYALC), the award program recognizes graduates under 40 who have made significant contributions to the textile industry and their communities. DYALC fosters engagement among young alumni and promotes the Wilson College of Textiles and the college’s fundraising arm, the North Carolina Textile Foundation.

Under Armour and NC State have launched a new partnership that will support student development, commercialize research and advance textile and materials innovation across the apparel, footwear and accessories industry. As part of this partnership, Under Armour expects to invest more than $1 million in research with NC State over the next year.
