Scholarship Continues to Support NC State Families

More than $1 million in Employee Dependent’s Tuition Scholarship funds have been awarded to dependents of full-time NC State employees since 2016. And more than 300 donors, most of them staff and faculty members themselves, have joined Chancellor Randy Woodson and his wife Susan by supporting the fund.

Poole College Names Interim Development and External Relations Leader

Frank Buckless, Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of Poole College of Management, has named Peyton Stokley as the college's interim executive director for development and external relations. Stokley will be expanding on her previous role as director of development, which she has held since 2017.

Hage Named New NCTF Director of Development

Jaclyn Hage has joined the staff at Wilson College of Textiles as director of development for the North Carolina Textile Foundation. In her new role, Hage will connect Wilson College of Textiles alumni, donors and friends across North Carolina, as well as in Portland, Oregon, and New York, with meaningful ways to make a difference. She previously held positions at Poole College of Management and the College of Design.

Ward Promoted to NCTF Executive Director

Michael Ward has been promoted to executive director of the North Carolina Textile Foundation (NCTF), the fundraising arm of the Wilson College of Textiles. A valued member of the NCTF team since 2016, he will continue to connect donors with opportunities to enhance a resurgent textile industry.

Edgington Named Park Scholarship Faculty Scholar

Cyndi Edgington, a teaching assistant professor of STEM education at the College of Education, has been selected as a Park Faculty Scholar for the Park Scholarships program. She will work with the incoming class of Park Scholars by guiding enrichment activities and advising students.

Anne Clark Hathway has been with the Poole College of Management since October 2018. In her role as associate director of the Department of Development and External Relations, she connects alumni to annual giving and engagement opportunities.

Investing in NC State

Libby George is the director of investments at NC State, leading the team responsible for investing the university's money – including private support – in a way that supports expansion and growth. Due to her outstanding work helping grow the university’s endowment, expertise in the field of finance and her desire to give back to students, George recently received the Rodney H. Adams Endowment Management Award from the National Association of College and University Business Officers.

Ghosh Named William A. Klopman Distinguished Professor in Textiles

Tushar Ghosh has been named the William A. Klopman Distinguished Professor in Textiles in recognition of his outstanding service to the Wilson College of Textiles and the broader textile industry. The professor in textile engineering, chemistry and science has been a faculty member since he graduated from NC State in 1987 with a Ph.D. in fiber and polymer science. He has mentored more than 40 graduate students.
