A Mother’s Love in Free Throws

For the fifth Mother’s Day in a row, former NC State women’s basketball player and prominent television analyst Debbie Antonelli spent a grueling 24 hours in her driveway making free throws to raise money for the Special Olympics.

Trea and Kristen Turner Pledge $1 Million to Baseball, Gymnastics

Former Wolfpack student-athletes Trea Turner and Kristen (Harabedian) Turner have made a $1 million pledge to NC State Athletics. The Turners’ generous gift will benefit both the baseball and gymnastics programs and marks the largest gift from a former NC State student-athlete who is currently playing professionally.

Jalen Latta will leave NC State in May with two degrees and three ACC championship rings, thanks to his time as a manager for the women’s basketball team. His success story also intersects with the 1983 Wolfpack men’s NCAA title team — with one key assist connected to a member of that legendary squad.

Safran Family Pledges $1.1M to Baseball Enhancement Project

NC State graduate and longtime Wolfpack supporter Perry Safran and his wife, Susan, have pledged $1.1 million to the Baseball Enhancement Plan. This is the seventh major commitment for the project, which will impact NC State baseball’s competitive future and significantly enhance the game-day experience at Doak Field at Dail Park.
