Belk Endowment Makes $25M Commitment

The John M. Belk Endowment’s latest gift will bolster the work of the Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research. CNR Names New Assistant Dean for College Advancement

Jennifer Piercy has been selected as the College of Natural Resources’ new assistant dean for college advancement and president of the NC State Natural Resources Foundation. The CNR alumnus brings 10 years of board management, fundraising, alumni relations, communications, leadership and management experience to this position and was instrumental in closing several major gifts to the college during the Think and Do the Extraordinary Campaign.

NC State Announces Wolfpack Red and White Wines

Two new NC State wines officially joined the university’s licensed wine collection Oct. 31, 2022. Shelton Vineyards, located in Dobson, North Carolina, produced the wines, and the labels were created by NC State College of Design student Josh Garrett. A portion of the wine sales will support student scholarships at NC State.

Physicist LeBlanc Wins $1.15M Chan Zuckerberg Science Diversity Leadership Award

Sharonda LeBlanc, an assistant professor in the Department of Physics, has received a Science Diversity Leadership Award from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. The five-year, $1.15 million grant will support LeBlanc’s project entitled “Time-resolved Molecular Mechanisms of Ribosome Assembly.”
