Park Scholarships program and Centennial Scholarship alumna Emily McGuinness ’16 has been named as a 2024 L’Oréal USA For Women in Science Awardee. She is one of five postdoctoral scientists who will receive grants, mentoring and networking, and celebration inspiring the next generation of female scientists.

Support the Pantry Bowl

Before NC State faces UNC-Chapel Hill on the football field, we’re teaming up for an important cause: addressing food insecurity. The fourth annual Pantry Bowl, a friendly competition to rally support for our campus food pantries, takes place Nov. 24 through Dec. 1. Last year, the Pack showed up and led the way to our second straight bowl win with 1,634 gifts. Be part of the big event and support Feed the Pack and our campus community.

40th RJ Reynolds Award Recipient Francis de los Reyes Conducts Research at the Interfaces

Francis de los Reyes, Glenn E. and Phyllis J. Futrell Distinguished Professor of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, was honored with the 2024 R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Extension on Nov. 11. He is the 40th recipient of this award, which is supported by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company through the NC State Engineering Foundation.
