A House Divided in Service Together

NC State’s Parents and Families Services and East Carolina University’s Office of Parent and Family Programs recently launched a joint fundraising initiative to support the needs of their sister institutions in western North Carolina. The net proceeds of the sale of exclusive NC State vs. East Carolina football T-shirts at each institution will be combined and divided equally to support Appalachian State University and UNC Asheville as they continue their recovery from Hurricane Helene.

After nearly a decade as a teacher, Kimberly Sutton decided to become a school counselor in order to better understand her students and make a greater impact on their lives. The College of Education’s online master of education in school counseling program and the Cassandra Lee Versteeg Mitchell Memorial Scholarship helped make it all possible.

Alumni Donors Help Paper Science Students See the World

Bill Rand Appointed New Goodnight Executive Director of Institute for Advanced Analytics

Bill Rand will be appointed Goodnight Executive Director of the Institute for Advanced Analytics effective July 1. Rand is the McLauchlan Distinguished Professor of Marketing and Analytics and the executive director of Business Analytics and AI Initiative in the Department of Business Management in the Poole College of Management.

Taiwan Delegation, NC State College of Engineering Convene on Semiconductor Innovation

The College of Engineering welcomed a distinguished Taiwanese delegation last month for a campus visit that centered on the Commercial Leap Ahead for Wide-bandgap Semiconductors (CLAWS) as the U.S. and Taiwan explore potential partnerships to advance semiconductors and microelectronics innovation and manufacturing. John Muth, Progress Energy Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, serves as director of CLAWS.

Day of Giving 2025 Helps Pack Essentials Expand Student Support

The Wolfpack community showed up in strength for the Division of Academic and Student Affairs’ Pack Essentials program during NC State’s Day of Giving 2025. The event saw $136,181 raised from 444 donors for the Pack Essentials Fund.
