He and his wife, Elizabeth, established the merit-based D. Scott and Elizabeth A. Showalter Endowment to help the MAC program support graduate students.

Professor Emeritus Shares Campus Stories in New Book

In addition to sharing stories of NC State’s history, Larry Nielsen also hopes to support current students through his book “Wolfpack Ramblings.” He plans to donate a dollar from the sale of every copy to the Nielsen Family Scholarship, which provides financial support to first-generation college students in the College of Natural Resources.

Why I Give: College of Education’s Erin Krupa Ph.D.

Erin Krupa may have been a faculty member in the NC State College of Education for only 16 months, but she is no stranger to Poe Hall. After teaching math for four years at W.G. Enloe High School in Raleigh, she decided to earn her Ph.D. Students' firsthand accounts of the importance of scholarships in opening doors, as well as her own scholarship experience as a Teaching Fellow, inspire Krupa to give back to the college.
