⁠The Libraries’ December book display in the Hill Library Reading Commons will be focused on food insecurity, and donation bins for Feed the Pack’s most needed items will be placed by the book display shelf.

Trailblazers

NC State’s Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research has launched an effort to help create a pipeline to develop community college leaders from underrepresented communities. The cornerstone of that effort is the Trailblazer Profiles, highlighting the accomplishments of past and present North Carolina community college presidents and system leaders who are Black, Asian, Native American or Latinx.

Restored Marble Sculpture Graces the Gregg Museum’s Garden

Spontak Receives 2022 RJ Reynolds Award

Richard J. Spontak, Distinguished Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at NC State, recently received the 2022 R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Extension. The most prestigious award that the College of Engineering presents to an individual faculty member, this is a $25,000 award given in increments of $5,000 over a five-year period.

Friday Institute Selects 2022 Graduate Student Fellows

Each year, the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation selects graduate students to become Friday Institute Graduate Student Fellows. The 2022 class of fellows are researching topics that focus on increasing equity in STEM education and educating students and families about wildlife science.
