Swann Named Interim AVC for Research Computing and Data

Julie Swann has joined the Office of Information Technology as the interim assistant vice chancellor for Research Computing and Data, effective Feb. 28. While in this role, Swann will continue serving as head and A. Doug Allison Distinguished Professor of the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.

The Libraries’ Making Space event series has been awarded one of the inaugural grants from the Wolfpack Women in Philanthropy Impact Fund, which supports initiatives that empower women and enhance the NC State experience for everyone in the campus community.

The Libraries’ Donors & Scholars Event Connects Donors to Student Scholarship Recipients

The NC State University Libraries student scholarship awardees and scholarship donors gathered in the Hunt Library’s Duke Energy Hall for the third annual Donors & Scholars reception on March 6. For the 2024-25 academic year, philanthropic support for the Libraries Student Scholarship Fund has allowed the Libraries to support 22 talented student workers with scholarships worth $140,000 in total.

The Institute for Emerging Issues is accepting applications from junior or senior undergraduate students for the 2025-26 Governor and Mrs. James B. Hunt Internship Program. This paid, yearlong internship was founded and endowed by Gov. James B. Hunt, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, and is an excellent opportunity for NC State students interested in public policy and/or public service careers.
