Day of Giving Launches March 27

NC State's first-ever Day of Giving kicks off on March 27. With challenge matches and leaderboard competitions, the day will offer multiple ways for donors to amplify for their support for the university's students, faculty, staff, facilities and programs.

NC State Plant Breeder Wins Prestigious Scott Medal

Tom Ranney, the JC Raulston Professor with the Department of Horticultural Science, recently won the Scott Medal, a coveted award that recognizes outstanding contributions to the science and art of gardening. Ranney was honored March 17 for his passion in creating landscape plants that enhance the environment, the economy and gardens across the country.

Seltzer Joins Staff of College of Engineering

Sara Seltzer is now serving as director of development for both the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Seltzer joined NC State in 2013 as a development specialist for Arts NC State and later was promoted to assistant director of development for the Division of Academic and Student Affairs.
