Private support helps these federal programs do more for students — and in fact, many TRIO staff are donors themselves.

Bharodiya, Johnson Selected for Inaugural Obama-Chesky Scholarship

Two members of the Wolfpack have earned a new scholarship from the Obama Foundation, which supports students pursuing careers in public service. Krupa Bharodiya (International Studies and Business Administration – Marketing ’24) and Kelis Johnson (Africana Studies – Community Studies ’24) are part of the inaugural cohort for the Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service, also known as the Voyager Scholarship.

Caraway and Family Scholarship, which targets first-generation, underresourced and rural-background students. Gibens was among the student speakers at last autumn's Red and White Night.
