Libraries Receives Archive of Photographer John Mark Hall ’75

Renowned architecture and interior photographer John Mark Hall ’75 ascended to the top of his field while keeping NC State and the College of Design close to his heart. Thanks to Hall and his husband, John Waddell, the NC State Libraries will be home to the John Mark Hall Photography Archive.

CHASS Honors Rader as Distinguished Alumnus

Judge Robert Rader was honored as the College of Humanities and Social Sciences’ 2020 Distinguished Alumnus during the NC State Alumni Association’s Evening of Stars Gala. Rader, who earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the university in 1978, recently retired as Chief District Court judge after 26 years on the bench — making him the longest serving District Court judge in Wake County history. Rader has served on the Dean’s Board for the college since 2014, is a member of the Chancellor’s Circle and has supported the CHASS Dean’s Fund Endowment, which provides unrestricted funding.
