Bharodiya, Johnson Selected for Inaugural Obama-Chesky Scholarship

Two members of the Wolfpack have earned a new scholarship from the Obama Foundation, which supports students pursuing careers in public service. Krupa Bharodiya (International Studies and Business Administration – Marketing ’24) and Kelis Johnson (Africana Studies – Community Studies ’24) are part of the inaugural cohort for the Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service, also known as the Voyager Scholarship.

When Brian Clark got the phone call to come back to NC State after playing five seasons in the NFL, he jumped at the chance to join the Wolfpack again. After successfully leading the fundraising efforts for the Wolfpack Club, he joined Poole College of Management in 2020 as executive director of development and external relations, where he continues to connect donors with ways to make a difference.

Katie Godfrey Kilgore ’16 Strives for a Culture of Community Through Fount Coffee + Kitchen

Kilgore was very involved at NC State during her academic career, including assisting with the Chancellor’s Leadership Development Program. Kilgore’s father, David Godfrey, established the Katelyn Godfrey Kilgore Scholarship for students pursuing undergraduate degrees in the Poole College of Management to honor his daughter.

Steve Markham Named Executive Director of NC State Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Goodnight Distinguished Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Steve Markham, a professor in the Poole College of Management’s Department of Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, has been appointed executive director of NC State Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Goodnight Distinguished Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Markham’s appointment became effective July 1 and follows the retirement of Senior Vice Provost for Entrepreneurship Tom Miller.

Constantino Gift Honors and Supports Poole Faculty

A gift established by Mike and Lori Constantino on this year’s NC State Day of Giving will support faculty excellence within the Poole College of Management. The Constantinos endowed the Poole Faculty Enrichment Fund after donors enthusiastically met their Day of Giving challenge: If 100 donors supported the fund within a three-hour window on Day of Giving, the Constantinos would commit $250,000 to fully endow the fund and create sustainable support for faculty.
