Chancellor’s Scholarship Supports Study Abroad

This past February, 40 students were recognized as the latest to have enjoyed extraordinary experiences thanks to Chancellor’s Study Abroad Scholarships. The chancellor's program, funded through gifts to the University's Greatest Needs Fund, provides critical support of up to $3,500 to students whose identities are underrepresented in study abroad.

Through a generous planned gift and annual giving contributions to establish the Connie L. Carson Student Experience Fund and further strengthen the Wolfpack Club's Student-Athlete Engagement And Leadership Fund, Carson is ensuring future first-year students find their place in the Pack.

Ari Alexandrescu, a senior studying economics, and Anna Zhao, a junior studying business administration, are receiving NC State's Jackson Rigney Study Abroad Scholarship. Alexandrescu will head to Vienna, Austria, this fall and Zhao will study in Shanghai, China.

Student’s Art History Research Leads to Museums, Galleries Abroad

Kyle Canter has followed his growing interest in the history of photography to museums, galleries and archives in the United States and across Europe. Some of the NC State senior's research has been supported by a Supercurricular SEED Grant from the Fellowship Advising Office, based in the Division of Academic and Student Affairs. Funded by a gift from the late Marilyn D. Blanton, these grants enable students to pursue extraordinary academic opportunities in the summer.
