Blasting Off into History

When Christina Hammock Koch – a three-time alumna of NC State – blasts off for the International Space Station this Thursday, she’ll be launching in the middle of Women’s History Month. Her mission will represent the culmination of nearly six years of challenging training since she was selected to be one of NASA’s eight astronauts in the Class of 2013.
