Batemans’ Gift Lowers Barriers for Campus Mobility

Neal and Ashley Bateman are dedicated to ensuring NC State students can enjoy the same campus experience they did. With an endowed gift to the Wolfpack Pick Up program, the two 1998 alumni are helping students, faculty, staff and community members who have limited mobility get around -- now and for years to come.

Day of Giving a Huge Success for Academic and Student Affairs

More than 1,160 donors contributed over $250,000 to the Division of Academic and Student Affairs on Day of Giving, including NC State Foundation Board member Ghazale Johnston and her husband, Andy. The family, committed to ensuring students have the support needed to reach their full potential, issued a successful $50,000 challenge for the Student Emergency Fund.

Feed The Pack: Donations Needed

Feed the Pack Food Pantry is in urgent need of pasta, pasta sauce, canned fruit, cereal, granola bars, shelf-stable meat products, rice and instant meals. Monetary gifts or donations of food items make an important difference for the NC State community, and the pantry is one component of the Division of Academic and Student Affairs' Pack Essentials effort to connect students with critical resources.

Longtime Arts NC State supporters David and Judi Wilkinson are honoring family connections to the university by creating the Pearsall-Wilkinson Scholarship. The endowment supports College of Engineering students' participation in Arts NC State, prioritizing students with financial need.

Inspired: Three NC State Families Establish Student Success Endowments

When NC State parents JoAnn and Kelly Barnhill, Alison and Jack Levinson, and David S. Thompson learned about the role of the Division of Academic and Student Affairs’ programs in preparing students for professional and personal success, they chose to give, volunteer and advocate. Their engagement includes establishing Student Success Endowments to provide unrestricted and indefinite funding for the division and to honor their shared commitment, as families, to the university.

Giving Tuesday Efforts Support the Feed the Pack Food Pantry

More than 1,100 pounds of food and supplies were donated to the NC State Feed the Pack food pantry as part of a universitywide donation drive in celebration of Giving Tuesday on Nov. 27. More than 22 university departments and student organizations contributed items. TIAA, the official event sponsor, gave $5,000 to the pantry and provided volunteers to assist with donation processing.
