Why I Give: ‘I Want Future Teachers to Have the Same Opportunity’

Cathy and Ron Hairr treasure the education they received at NC State, but paying for school often interfered with time for studying, and they were unable to experience semesters abroad. They have established a gift through their estate that will be shared equally between NC State’s College of Education and College of Engineering to provide need-based scholarships so future teachers and engineers can take full advantage of opportunities at the university.
