College of Education Excellence Fund Focuses on Four Priority Areas That Support Students, Address Urgent Educational Needs

NC State College of Education Dean Mary Ann Danowitz has announced that gifts to the college’s Excellence Fund will provide support to four development priority areas: student scholarships, student experiences, equity initiatives and educational innovation.

College of Education Students Share What They Learned as Counselors of the Leadership Institute for Future Teachers

NC State College of Education students served as counselors and mentors for the inaugural Leadership Institute for Future Teachers (LIFT), a program for students of color and bilingual students held virtually in July. Support from the NC State University Foundation, Belk Foundation and the Burroughs Wellcome Fund helped make the opportunity possible.

First Group Participates in College of Education Summer Internship Program in Memory of Chantal Warfield

The College of Education recognizes its first participants in the competitive, eight-week summer internship program established to honor the impact and legacy of Chantal Warfield '19. Amaya Dicker '21, a middle grades English language arts and social studies education major who looked up to Warfield, and Teaching Fellow Breanna Goins '21 were the first students to receive support from the program, which is funded in part through a gift from the John M. Belk Endowment.
