The 12th International Workshop on Nitride Semiconductors (IWN 2024) brought together 670 experts at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort from November 3-8, marking a significant milestone in III-nitride semiconductor research. Subhashish Bhattacharya, Duke Energy Distinguished Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, gave a plenary talk during the program.

NC State University Foundation Recognizes Campen, Zeises

NC State volunteers and donors Henry Campen Jr. and Steve and Frosene Zeis were honored recently for their outstanding commitment to the university. The NC State University Foundation recognized the trio during its annual awards ceremony and dinner with the Jerry and Elizabeth Godwin Red Torch Award and the Darrell and Carolyn Menscer Cup, respectively.

David Sieg ’25 Honored With Student Leadership Award From the College of Sciences

The College of Sciences recently recognized four alumni and two students for their outstanding achievements and contributions at its annual awards dinner. Among them was David Sieg, a senior majoring in mathematics and recipient of the Park Scholarship and the Fulton and Ruby H. Starling Scholarship.
