Park Scholarships Announces Finalists for the Class of 2030

The Park Scholarships program has selected 96 finalists for its class of 2030. The finalists, who were chosen for their accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service and character, are invited to NC State on March 6 and 7 to participate in Final Selection Activities.

Pitch Competition Shows Ag Tech ‘Alive and Thriving’ at NC State

The N.C. Plant Sciences Initiative’s first Seed2Grow Showcase and Pitch Competition proved to be a powerful demonstration of NC State’s Think and Do spirit, giving 11 current and aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their agricultural technology solutions. Donations from the Shih Family Innovation Fund, David Peele, AgriExecs and Fox Ventures supported prizes totaling $28,000 for the top three finishers.

Caroline Youngblood is a fourth-year student pursuing a dual bachelor’s degree in paper science and engineering and chemical engineering. Dog-Loving Couple Hails Dermatologist as ‘the Epitome of NC State’

When Jackie Jaloszynski was reluctant to treat her anxious dog’s allergies with injections, Dr. Ina Herrmann offered a new transdermal immunotherapy that she had never used before. Herrmann’s outstanding treatment over the ensuing months led Jaloszynski and her partner, Sid Bragg, to honor Herrmann with a Coat of Excellence, a College of Veterinary Medicine program that helps clients express their appreciation to outstanding faculty and staff.

The Caldwell Fellows Wilderness Expedition provides students with a structured experience of challenge and support, with a proven impact on personal development. Now, the program is entering a new partnership with Outward Bound that will honor the program’s history while positioning it for the future.
