Graduation 2023

This spring, 6,320 NC State students will achieve a goal that took shape the day they received their big, red envelopes: graduation. Some will be the first in their families to complete a four-year degree. Others are carrying on a Wolfpack tradition. Many will bring the skills they learned here to new careers, while others will continue on to graduate school. Those who are completing advanced degrees will take new steps forward in shaping academia and industry.

No matter the paths our graduates walked to arrive at this moment, our donors have helped pave the way, strengthening the community, programs and opportunities that comprise the NC State experience.

NC State Announces 2023 Mathews Medal Winners

As the highest non-academic distinction awarded to NC State students, the Mathews Medal honors graduating seniors who have served as student leaders and made significant contributions to the advancement of the university. This year’s recipients include a figure skater, a Park Scholar and a composting pioneer — all of whom have sought to make NC State more sustainable, equitable and inclusive.

Full Court, Full Circle

Jalen Latta will leave NC State in May with two degrees and three ACC championship rings, thanks to his time as a manager for the women’s basketball team. His success story also intersects with the 1983 Wolfpack men’s NCAA title team — with one key assist connected to a member of that legendary squad.

Supporting Feed the Pack Is Supporting the NC State Community

In addition to NC State’s rivalry-week football game against UNC-Chapel Hill, the universities are also took part in their second annual Pantry Bowl — a friendly competition to see which university can rally the most gifts for their campus food pantry.
