Scholarship to Benefit CVM Native American Students

NC State's College of Veterinary Medicine announced the establishment of the Old Main Native American Indian Veterinarian Scholarship Endowment to support Native American students, thanks to donors including Dr. David Brooks, DVM, Pembroke, and matching funds from the R.B. Terry Charitable Foundation.

Craig Yencho, William Neal Reynolds Distinguished Professor of Horticultural Science and program leader of NC State’s sweet potato and potato breeding and genetics programs, has worked alongside World Food Prize winners, Maria Andrade and Robert Mwanga, for years and served as Mwanga’s faculty advisor.
