Thanks to donor support and the NC Textile Foundation, the Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management at Wilson College of Textiles has continued preparing its students to become industry-ready professionals even while they learn remotely.

Sisterhood Celebration Provides Reflections on ‘Normal Never Was’

This year’s NC State Sisterhood Celebration brought together nearly 250 members of the campus community to celebrate the achievements of women while acknowledging the challenges and hardships of the past year. The celebration, with a theme based on the writings of poet, activist and author Sonya Renee Taylor, was sponsored by the Council on the Status of Women and the Women’s Center. Learn more about the event and the Equity Award for Women nominees, which included University Advancement’s Christina Walker. Walker was recognized for her work leading the establishment of the Wolfpack Women in Philanthropy.
