Heartfelt and Celebratory: The 37th Annual CVM Awards

At the College of Veterinary Medicine’s annual awards ceremony, Dean Paul Lunn noted that the college awarded more than 260 student scholarships worth $1,113,97 during the past year. This included a new award from donor PetDesk to assist graduating students dedicated to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the veterinary industry.

Announcing The Dale Earnhardt Legacy Program

The Dale Earnhardt Legacy Program provides a structured pathway for students who are interested in studying natural resources majors at NC State but were not initially admitted as freshmen. With its mission to continue the legacy of Dale Earnhardt, the $500,000 endowment will benefit students interested in pursuing a degree in forest management, natural resources, environmental technology and management, or fisheries, wildlife and conservation biology.

Goodnight Scholars Program Announces Class of 2025 and Transfer Class of 2024

The Goodnight Scholars Program has selected 75 recipients from 34 North Carolina counties for its new traditional and transfer cohorts, with 50 chosen for the class of 2025 and 25 chosen for the transfer class of 2024. The program admitted its largest transfer class to date and plans to increase this offering to 50 transfer students by the 2023 recruitment cycle.

Park Scholarships Announces Class of 2025

The 26th class of Park Scholars, comprised of 40 students, was selected from a pool of more than 2,200 applicants from six countries, 42 states and 97 of North Carolina’s 100 counties on the basis of outstanding achievements and potential in scholarship, leadership, service and character. A Selection Committee comprised of 425 dedicated and accomplished NC State alumni, faculty and friends conducted the application reviews, interviews and outreach.

As the recipient of the Paul and Geneva Jenkins Scholarship and the Dr. Estelle E. White Scholarship, Cheyenne Quarless ’21 was able to attend NC State, participate in field experiences and prepare to be the best teacher possible. Now a Wolfpack alumna, she plans to teach in the Raleigh area.
