Endowed Scholarship Established to Honor Former Dean Mary Ann Danowitz

NC State’s College of Education has established the Mary Ann Danowitz Scholarship in honor of its former dean, thanks to gifts from Jerry and Dianne Cunningham and other stakeholders in the College of Education community. When combined with funds from NC State’s Extraordinary Opportunity Scholarship Initiative matching pool, this scholarship endowment has a projected value of more than $200,000.

Model Advances Understanding of Incorporating 3D Printing Into Supply Chains

Getting spare parts where they need to go in a quick, reliable way is a logistical challenge for military and industrial supply chains. Researchers from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and NC State have developed a computational model to help determine how best to incorporate additive manufacturing technologies into these spare parts supply chains. Brandon McConnell, co-author of a paper on the new model, is an assistant research professor in NC State’s Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Wolfpack Investor Network Surpasses $15M in Capital Deployed

Demonstrating its crucial role as an economic engine in North Carolina, the Wolfpack Investor Network (WIN) recently announced that it has reached $15 million in investments since its inception in December 2016.
