Led by Brooke and Catherine — both College of Agriculture and Life Sciences grads — the five Harward sisters have already learned the keys to running their own business. Their entrepreneurial efforts started with a cow named Blackbird and evolved into a registered Angus beef operation in Richfield. Catherine, a Park Scholar, and her siblings are determined to "go big" and take their business to the next level.

CALS undergrad Coleman Berry is only 18, but he's a first-year student entering the Prestage Department of Poultry Science as a senior. With the help of private support, Berry has his sights set on graduate school.

Park Scholarships Alumnus Reflects on a ‘Path Well Taken’

Josh Sawyer '03 has advice for current and future Park Scholars: Take full advantage of your time at NC State. Sawyer certainly did, having traveled abroad to Nepal, Egypt, Austria and Guatemala to volunteer as an EMT. Sawyer now works as an ER physician at Eastern Carolina Emergency Physicians in Wilmington.
