A History of Miracles at CVM

Gratitude for the College of Veterinary Medicine's amazing care for his cats launched Terry Seaks into a longtime role as a CVM volunteer and a donor. He and his late wife, Jane, endowed two scholarships and in 2007 established the Jane Lewis Seaks Distinguished Professorship for Companion Animal Medicine -- CVM's first endowed chair.

Nutter Announces Retirement

Susan Nutter, vice provost and director of the NCSU Libraries, steps down this fall. The visionary Nutter, who arrived on campus in 1987, was instrumental in the opening of one of NC State's most extraordinary places: James B. Hunt Jr. Library.

Julie Swann is currently the Harold R. and Mary Anne Nash Professor in the Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is co-founder and co-director of the Center for Health and Humanitarian Systems, one of the first interdisciplinary research centers on the Georgia Tech campus.
