From Iran to Raleigh, a Family Legacy Continues at NC State

Thirty years after her father earned a degree from NC State, Kemmia Ghodrat graduated with dual degrees in sociology and communication in the fall of 2023. In addition to being an outstanding student, Kemmia was a 2022 Red and White Night speaker as well as a Chancellor’s Aide, assisting with numerous university philanthropic events.

NC State’s places live on in the hearts of our students and alumni — even when they’re far from home. As part of this year’s Red and White Night, the university’s annual celebration of philanthropy, augmented reality transported guests to the heart of campus through a team effort between DELTA, University Libraries, University Special Events and University Communications and Marketing.
