A Wolfpack Family Gives Back

Dr. Tony Sigmon and his wife, Nancy -- along with their children and children’s spouses -- have invested in the College of Engineering’s Fitts-Woolard Hall, as well as other college and NC State initiatives. Sigmon, founder and corporate president of Raleigh-based Collegiate Capital Management, received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in engineering science and mechanics from the college. And there are many more family ties.

$4.5 Million Bequest to Benefit NC State’s Applied Math Program

An anonymous couple has made a $4.5 million bequest to the College of Sciences Foundation to benefit students and faculty in applied mathematics. The gift commitment, one of the largest ever received by the college, will endow a distinguished faculty chair, an undergraduate scholarship fund and a graduate fellowship in the Department of Mathematics.

CVM Alum Finds Calling, Gives Back

Nancy Rathbun-Ramsey achieved a childhood goal in 1994 when she graduated from the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. Now the owner of a successful private veterinary practice in Maryland, the alumna and annual donor has pledged 10 percent of her estate to the college to acknowledge its role in her achievements.
