Park Scholar Featured in Art2Wear

Christian Fuda, a senior majoring in industrial design, stepped out of his comfort zone to pursue his passion of fashion design as he presented an avant-garde collection for the annual fashion show Art2Wear, hosted by NC State's College of Design. The program recently celebrated its 17th year as a student-organized runway show presenting fashion, costume and wearable sculpture created by students.

High-Tech Studios A Step Above

Wayne Place, Alumni Association Distinguished Professor, teaches advanced studios in NC State's College of Design on tall building design and airport design. His students have been invited to participate in the prestigious Biennale International Architecture Exhibition in Venice, Italy, presenting "Airports of the Future” team projects that address global challenges of geographic location, user experience, technology and innovative design solutions. Donors are invited to support the effort.

Olympian Now Champions NC State

Jean Driscoll, the new executive director of development for NC State's College of Design, knows a few things about commitment, perseverance and diligence. Driscoll won 12 medals — five of them gold — in the Paralympic Games over 12 years, earned two Olympic exhibition medals and was inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame in 2012. In 2000 she became the first person to win the Boston Marathon eight times.
