The (Art) Show Goes On, and Visual Artist Awards Are Announced

In 2017, Arts NC State received a generous gift to create a visual artist award for the student art annual sale, to recognize NC State students for their outstanding work in the visual arts. Jornell Bacon, Jake Goodnight and Grayson Morrow were named this year's winners, and art continues to be available at links shared on the Arts NC State Flickr gallery.

An Anonymous Gift Leads to a Lasting Tribute to Randy Foy

From 1995 until 2013, Randy Foy led two student and community musician groups for the NC State Department of Music, serving as an educator and mentor. An anonymous donor has created the Randy Foy Music Scholarship Endowment to honor his memory and service.

Friends of Arts NC State Board Awards the Bowers Medals

The Friends of Arts NC State Board of Advisors presented the 2019 Bowers Medal of Arts to Robert Black, Ormond Sanderson and Bing Sizemore. All three honorees have enhanced the arts at NC State and across North Carolina, playing critical roles in the construction and reopening of the Gregg Museum of Art & Design.

NC State Students Receive University Arts Awards

Arts NC State recently conferred its annual Performing, Creative and Visual Arts Awards, honoring 13 students for their accomplishments. The awards are made possible with support from the NC State University Foundation, the Suzanne Kennedy-Stoskopf Endowment for Creativity in the Performing Arts and the Roxanne Hicklin Visual Artist Award Endowment.

A New Music Scholarship Honors Two Generous Men

Charles Zeugner '56 established the Kutschinski-Fulghum Music Scholarship Endowment to honor two men whose kindness helped him get by at NC State and to support students who reflect his own past profile -- with financial need, involved in the Department of Music and studying electrical or computer engineering.
