When Nature Calls, A Necessary Gift Comes Through

Often mistaken for a small church, shop or market, a quaint blue cottage containing restroom facilities is cleverly hidden in the back corner of the JC Raulston Arboretum between the conifer collection and Elm Circle. Aptly named “The Necessary,” this building will receive a much-needed update thanks to the generosity of Carol McNeel.

Moonlight in the Garden Coming Up

Experience NC State's JC Raulston Arboretum after dark during next month's Moonlight in the Garden event. Food trucks, live music, marshmallows and fire pits — they're all back. Proceeds benefit daily operations of the arboretum; Moonlight in the Garden is cosponsored by and fundraising efforts operate under the auspices of the North Carolina Agricultural Foundation Inc.

Arboretum’s Annual Garden Party, Rare Plant Auction Coming Up

Proceeds from the May 5 event will benefit daily operations of the JC Raulston Arboretum. Launched over 25 years ago, the annual festivities feature food and drink, live entertainment, plus silent and live auctions of items ranging from rare and collectible plants to unique travel opportunities and garden ornaments.
